I am now nearly 4 years post treatment (surgery, radio, chemo) under Dr Ram. for cancer of the tonsil (primary) that spread to the lymph in the neck and all is good! Of course all doctors 'care' but Dr Ram really CARES - going above and beyond to ensure the process was as comfortable as possible; i was able to call him on his mobile at any time or day in case something was bothering me / i had a question and he even came in to check on me in hospital when i was admitted on a Sunday. THANK YOU!

Almost five years ago, I was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer in my nasal passage. As a result, I was referred to Dr Ramkumar at the Spire hospital oSouthampton. From the outset I was kept fully in the picture as to treatment success and what my particular treatment would be. From the start and throughout, my wife has been to each follow up consultation with me. Dr Ramkumar has been forthright and always happy to answer any queries. Of course after such a lengthy course of treatment, a doctor/patient bond becomes very strong and that in turn has been very reassuring. I now move on with a clean bill of health, for which I thank the doctor and his very skilled staff.

5 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 tonsil cancer. Dr Ram played a very important part in my complete understanding of the position I was in and the likely prognosis. He was kind, considerate and very clear in answering all of my questions. After surgery, I took his offer of chemotherapy and radiology to ensure that everything possible was done to eradicate the cancer. Over the last 5 years I have been systematically seen by Dr Ram or one of his colleagues to check and ensure that all is well. I am pleased to say that I have been consistently been given the “all clear”. Fortunately for me, at my most recent consultation, I able to personally thank Dr Ram for his help and encouragement over those years.

Dr Ramkumar is a very kind, caring and excellent doctor.
I was well prepared for chemoradiotherapy because he had clearly explained what to expect.
He was very prompt with arranging scans and consultations with other health professionals.
Dr Ramkumar has always been attentive and listened to my worries and to the symptoms I reported and provided helpful advice and reassurance.
He is very happy to be asked questions, takes time explaining things and is not rushed.
He was very helpful as another knowledgeable person to talk to at a time when I had discussions with the surgeon regarding the options of a limited operation versus a more extensive operation.
Dr Ramkumar is always optimistic while being open and realistic.
I have great confidence in him and am very thankful for being under his care.
